For the Atheist In You

Don't be offended, folks. Don't take this cake seriously.
C'mon. It's funny right? lol

KoRn-Inspired Cake

My girlfriend's favorite band is KoRn, so I decided to make her a cake this year that would get her eardrums tingling, as well as her taste buds.
I referenced a photo for this cake. Here you go, decorating buddies. Hope you like :P

Rocky Horror Picture Show Inspired Cake

Who doesn't love the Rocky Horror Picture Show?

This cake was pretty simple. Great for a big party!

You will need :
- Two boxes of cake mix
- A "lips" mold cake-pan
- An additional large sheet-cake pan
- At least 2 large containers of icing. 1 white/ 1 chocolate
- Black edible decorating icing
- Red glitter edible decorating icing
- White glitter edible decorating icing
- Black food coloring
- Red food coloring.

1. Let your cakes cool completely. This is very important! I usually stick mine in the freezer.

2. You will ice the bottom layer first, obviously. Use your chocolate icing and add black food coloring to it to get desired effect.

3. Once you get your black icing smeared onto the cake properly, place your second cake (lips cake) on top of your black one.

This is a photo of my lips template.

4. Mix red food coloring into light colored icing.

5. Saturate lips with red icing, then delicately make lip indentions with your black decorating icing, and highlights with your white decorating icing.

6. Feel free to add extra sparklies with your red glitter decorating icing!

7. Add your birthday friend's name and a cute Rocky-Horror saying and watch their eyes explode when they see it!

Cake of Cronus

I call it the "Cake of Cronus."
And now you can make it too for your demented buddies!

First, get some supplies. You will need :

-A baked, cooled cake
-Frosting (Chocolate frosting is easiest to dye black)
-Black food coloring
-Oreo cookies
-Basic small, cheap-o babydolls (2)
-Knife or similar tool for prying/slicing
-Edible red glitter decorating icing

1. While your cake is cooling, feel free to dismantle your baby dolls from their stuffed bodies.

2. Be as gruesome as possible. Gouge out a few eyeballs and make them look zombie-like. I did this with a black ballpoint men and a red sharpie. I smeared the inks with my finger to give a bloody/bruised effect. Sick, I know.

3. Next, top the cake with crushed oreo cookie. Make sure to take out all of the white center before doing this as the whole point is to make it look like dirt.

4. Now, place dismembered baby body parts into the cake in a disheveled fashion. Have arms and legs partially sticking out of the cake for an "up-earthed" effect.

5. Lastly, use your creative judgement to decorate with red glitter icing. Make it look super ooze - y!

6. Your cake is finished. Now sit back and gaze upon the abomination you've created and laugh maniacally :D

7. Now let your bestest friends and the birthday boy partake in the feast.
